Frequently Asked Questions
Should I bring something?
If you know Jonnin then you know she loves to cook and bake. We usually have enough food and dessert for all to enjoy. That said, if you insist on bringing something bring your favorite wine. Our favorite is Bogle Merlot. Not into wine? Charcutterie, appetizers or desserts such as cookies are other great ideas. Of course if you have allergies please feel free to bring something you can enjoy safely.
Can I bring my children?
Your children are welcome. All we ask is that you keep a watchful eye on them if they are mobile. Like last year Jonnin is hoping to have a game for the kids to play. We have ample wi-fi as well for those who want to stay occupied on their devices.
What's a White Elephant?
White elephant is a gift-swapping game where each person brings a wrapped gift (couples can share but it's best to have one each), and players take turns either choosing a new gift or stealing one that has already been opened. Check out this great video for a quick overview. The game is often played with a price limit ($30 before tarriffs LOL) and a set number of times a gift can be stolen (2 for us). The goal is to end up with a desirable gift. Gag gifts are allowed and so are regifts as long as they are not opened.
